I did a quick interview with the owners of AnthonyAudio a Filipino company focused on creating high quality speakers. Their products are 100% Pinoy-made and can compete with any other international brand without burning a hole in your pocket. AnthonyAudio produces Hi-End, Hi-Fi sound system products that isn’t Hi-Priced.

Give us a brief background of the company, how and when did it start?
The idea of starting up a company in February of 2012 to compete in the hi-fi industry started when the proponents discovered a market niche that was neither well-served nor supplied by the major importers of hi-fi speakers, which are usually associated with freight forwarding expenses, duties and taxes etc, thus adding up to the already costly, sometimes overpriced products thereof. This demand was introduced by A-Audio, a small manufacturing entity that competes with the sound quality of imported hi-fi sound system products.
Who is your target market?
Our main target market are home theater enthusiasts and audiophiles but we want to spread our coverage since we are the first Filipino speaker brand that can compete with high end products.
Is it for local consumers only or for exporting?
Right now, we are only targeting the local market but of course we don’t mind exporting our products.
What are the main products of AnthonyAudio?
As of now, the main products are Genesis 5.1 (mainly for home theater system) but can still be used for Audio and Omega Bookshelf which is for pure audio. We also have services, e.g. tweaking, repairs, upgrades.

What makes AnthonyAudio different from the other companies in your industry?
I think what makes us unique in our industry is how we take care of our customers. We just don’t sell the products to them, we want to understand what they want and need (in terms of sound preference – we can tweak our speakers based on their preference).

If consumers are not getting your products what are they missing out?
Buy Filipino! You don’t have to pay tons of money for a high end speaker.
